Email Server Control

To get to the Email Server Control screen, right click on the KK? Icon on the lower right hand corner of your screen and click on KnockKnock Settings.

You reach Email Server Control by selecting the List Servs Tab on your Knock Settings screen.

Email Server Control is provided so you can accept or deny complete domains to eliminate email from spammers who change the beginning portion of the email address, but the domain name remains the same. The domain portion of the sender address userx@domain.com is everything after the @ sign. Sometimes the address looks like userx@computer.domain.com. If you deny or accept from domain.com there is no need to deny computer.domain.com as the major domain would override.

The default settings you select for the domain is a default and not the ultimate control. For instance, say you have the server domain.com set to accept. But you have the sender userx@domain.com set to deny. This would accept all mail from user?@domain.com except userx@domain.com. Individual settings override default server settings.

As an example, if you denied the domain yahoo.com, this will allow you to deny all mail from yahoo.com with the exception of mom@yahoo.com and friend@yahoo.com. All others would automatically be deleted.

This also works the other way, in that if you accept the domain yahoo.com but deny mom@yahoo.com and friend@yahoo.com you would get everything from yahoo.com with the exception of mom and friend. (Sorry to pick on you mom)

If you deny a domain, remember that all email messages received from that domain will be automatically denied unless you have them in your approved database. This can be dangerous, but KnockKnock will do as you request.
